Explore Dropull through selected community photographs. These collections connect village landscapes, architecture and everyday life with our guides to the region. Captions are based on contributors’ information and can be corrected when supporting evidence becomes available.
Liougkari: village landscape and everyday life
A panoramic view is a starting point, not the whole story of a village. This selection from Liougkari brings it alongside Saint George’s church, a village house, an oak tree and the grape harvest, as identified in the photographer’s submissions.
Notice the change of scale: from the settlement to a building, a tree and a seasonal task. Photographs can start a conversation about a place; on their own, they do not establish a building’s construction date or a tree’s age. If you recognise a location, send us the identification and the evidence behind it.
Sofratika: three views of the village
These photographs were submitted under the village name Sofratika, also written Sofratikë. Two original titles mention April 2025 and April 2026 respectively. We preserve those references as information supplied by contributors, not as independently verified capture dates.
To connect the village photographs with a visit, read the Dropull travel guide and the sourced article about Hadrianopolis. Images of the village should not be mistaken for photographic documentation of the ancient theatre, or for confirmation of current opening hours and access to the archaeological site.
Credits, dates and corrections
An upload date is not necessarily the date a photograph was taken. Photographer credits reproduce the submitted attribution; we do not invent missing credits. Public display does not grant permission to republish. Contact us about image use or a documented correction.
